Sparkly pink knit fabric with a full circle skirt. I love the way it swishes and I love that it fits pretty easily over her head but doesn't gape at the neck when it's on. Binding the sleeves was a little bit tricky; I'll have to cut the binding strips a little bit larger next time.
I love her face when she's concentrating.
Close up of the decorative stitch I used for the binding:
I love Ansley hugs and look(!) we kind of match. I'm wearing one of two knit circle skirts I made last week. I staged an intervention for myself b/c I wore the same blue knit circle skirt five times last week. Now I might need circle skirt therapy b/c these were skirts number six and seven, not counting the circle skirt on the bottom of my Baja Dress and not counting the two that I have fabric for but haven't made yet. It may or may not get its own post.

Exploring Our Town
I'm going to be taking some family pictures for our friends in a few days/weeks so I took my little model to find some possible locations.
I may've gotten a bit distracted by the cool scenery. . . .
There's our "new car" upside down.
Where were we? Oh yeah.
Cool walls
and "bridges"
We finished our little excursion with FREE kids' cones from Arctic Circle! :)
Any tips for group portraits? Most of my pictures are usually only of Ansley and Tyrone.

Piano Club!
A number of years ago, one of my friends was telling me about how she and her friends had a Piano Club. I thought it was a great idea and finally started my own.
We met at one on Saturday. The night before, I had a dream that it was 1:47 and no one came. (I was also in the old house I grew up in until I was thirteen in the dream).
Anyway, I saw these little sandwiches on baguettes on Pinterest
and decided to make little club sandwiches (haha right?) I used baguettes with turkey bacon (unintentional, it was just what I had), sliced turkey (first time visiting the deli counter for meat), tomato, and lettuce from our garden. I also put out a dish of snap peas from our garden.
I had planned to serve cookies but burned my thumb (and a batch of cookies when I dropped them). I ended up making brownies too and was happy how they turned out, since it was the first time I used eggs from our chickens in the recipe.
We heard some great music and got to practice playing in front of other people. :)

Dinner in the Backyard
We've love eating outside when it's not too hot. I made baked pasta (cook noodles to al dente, toss in sauce (I really like Classico sauces b/c of their pleasant lack of HFCS and if they contain sugar, it's one of the very last ingredients), cover with cheese, and bake for about 15 minutes- seriously tastes so much better than just noodles and sauce) and we always snack on fresh peas. We love summer!
