The Ila Dress by Coffee and Thread

yearbook2016 by replicate then deviate

Yes, it's another Star Wars Dress! I had the opportunity to test the Ila Dress by Coffee and Thread. I love the shaped yoke and the pockets! This was my first lined dress with an invisible zipper! There is a lot more interfacing than in other dresses I've made but it leads to a really professional finish.

This is one of the tester versions I made. The actual pattern has a little bit more ease in the chest and a bit more length. I made a size seven, based on Ansley's chest measurements. She is a size 8 in height. Olga worked tirelessly to get the fit just right!!

I used a scrap of fabric from Sweet and Charmed fabric and a quilting cotton from Joanns. The quilting cotton tends to be wrinkly (I did iron before these pictures!) but it was the closest color match (and got the most votes from my smart instagram friends).

The Ila Dress is available for $7 (instead of $9) through UpCraft Club through Wednesday, then in the Coffee and Thread Shop. I think Lisbon needs an Ila Dress too!
