The Lots of Firsts Jacket
I made this little jacket from mccalls pattern 5697. This was my first sewing project with:
-a store bought pattern
-fleece (love that it doesn't fray)
-interfacing
-non raglan sleeves
-collar
-buttonholes
-buttons
-pockets
It's not perfect but it was good practice. My little model is taking a nap but I'll try to get pictures later.

ReplyDeletethis is soooo cute! love the pattern, and i love working with felt, but i never know what to make with it. i never thought about kids clothes...
ReplyDeleteoh that turned out so so cute!! congrats on all those firsts too by the way, big accomplishments!
ReplyDeleteWow, nicely done! It looks so well made. Great job!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your sweet comments on my blog. :) For my dress, I followed the Simplicity 2693 pattern but made a few modifications to it like adding sleeves, Adding an additional ruffle and changing the lengths of the other ones. The ruffle adaptions were a pain but everything else was pretty simple.
By the way, you're baby is such a cutie!! Ah I just love her little pigtails in the last post. :)
So cute, and you did wonderful job! Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI love it! and you did a fabulous job of matching up the fabric!!!
ReplyDeleteAdorable! Since I don't have any kids to sew for yet, my family and every other little kid I know is getting spoiled. This might have to be the next project I do!
ReplyDeleteAdorable!
