The Lots of Firsts Jacket

I made this little jacket from mccalls pattern 5697. This was my first sewing project with:
-a store bought pattern
-fleece (love that it doesn't fray)
-non raglan sleeves

It's not perfect but it was good practice. My little model is taking a nap but I'll try to get pictures later.

Thank you for your sweet comments on my blog. :) For my dress, I followed the Simplicity 2693 pattern but made a few modifications to it like adding sleeves, Adding an additional ruffle and changing the lengths of the other ones. The ruffle adaptions were a pain but everything else was pretty simple.
By the way, you're baby is such a cutie!! Ah I just love her little pigtails in the last post. :)

  6. So cute, and you did wonderful job! Thank you for sharing!

  7. I love it! and you did a fabulous job of matching up the fabric!!!

  8. Adorable! Since I don't have any kids to sew for yet, my family and every other little kid I know is getting spoiled. This might have to be the next project I do!
