The Brunswick Pullover by Hey June Handmade
I finally finished my third (and fourth. The fourth is a Christmas present for my sister. I sewed her view b and I'll have to get a picture of her in it) Brunswick Pullovers. For more detail about the pattern, check out the listing or my last blog post.
These gorgeous pics are by Tami. Doesn't she have a wonderful eye for detailed shots?! Thanks for the pics, Tami!!!
This is a size 12 and made with the same anti pill plush fleece from Joann. This heathered dark grey feels a little bit thinner than some of the other colors but I'm not sure if it's just the bolt I got it from or all of the heathered dark grey. I chose to sew view A as is and was really excited with the zippered sleeve pocket. It also finally occurred to me while cutting out the pieces that I could use fabric for the drawstring. This is about 1.5 inches wide, folded/pressed in half long ways, opened and both edges folded/pressed to the middle, then folded/pressed in half; like making bias tape but without cutting the fabric on the bias. I used two widths of fabric, sewn together. I placed the seam from the two pieces on the top of my head and estimated how long I wanted each side to be. I folded/pressed the raw short edges in before sewing/topstitching around the entire perimeter. For fun I like to tie a little knot near the end of the fabric.
So size wise this is between my purple and grey pullovers from the last post. I think it's just right! The woven accent fabric is also from Joann. As fate would have it I did not finish this in time to see "The Crimes of Grindelwald" but luckily there are three more movies coming out so it'll still get lots of wear.
Thanks for stopping by!
