Ansley's Fifth Birthday

The Saturday before Ansley's birthday we had a small birthday party with five of her friends from preschool, since she was turning five. It worked out nicely that there are only five girls in her class. One of Ansley's babysitters came over and helped me give manicures to the girls. We also read books, opened presents, and snacked on apples, grapes, cheese, carrots, and the cutest mini cupcakes. Ansley is wearing the Easter dress that I made her- a simple peasant top (like half of her dresses haha) with a full skirt made of the softest lisette lawn fabric.

After a morning meeting and before dance class we went to look at flowers. I managed to finish the brand new Fawn Lily dress the night before. I LOVE this dress!! I have plans to make a matching or coordinating one for the baby but it'll have to wait until after we move. (another shameless plug for selling our house) Ansley picked out the colors and I think she did a fabulous job. The little pink pockets peeking out are adorable, as is the crossover bodice and fancy clean sleeve finish.

We also went to Jamba Juice, dance class, and Red Robin. (She's wearing her birthday crown from preschool).

Reading her chapter book from us and so excited about getting her own tulips. This is also the face she always makes before she hugs and kisses my belly. It's pretty cute (her face that is).
