Hopscotch Dress

Ansley and I decided she and another friend needed a matching dress. I found this pretty lisette fabric in the clearance section at Joann and was sorely tempted to recreate this Shabby Apple dress but couldn't resist adding a circle skirt to the bottom of the two dresses for maximum twirling ability and the print looks really cool in a circle (so I used up the majority of the fabric but it was totally worth it). I used Simplicity 0351a again (also here and here). This was my first attempt at lining up a print and I was satisfied with how it turned out the second and third time (I scrapped the first bodice). The leggings are from Susan at Living with Punks guest post on See Kate Sew. I shortened them to almost knee length and LOVE them. I will be making more, but in less see through colors. :) I love the little ruffles peeking out under dresses and how her thighs are covered. I don't really understand the itty bitty diaper covers for children older than two. . . .
