Lisette Attache Dress

lisette attache dress (simplicity 1666) by replicate then deviate front view

This is the perfect dress! I LOVE it! I was so excited the day I saw this post introducing the lisette attache dress (simplicity 1666) that I checked all of my local stores for the pattern the day I saw it. I also checked Joann another time and on my third trip, I asked the ladies at the cutting counter (there was no one else waiting in line) and they got one for me out of the back room. Totally made my day month! I snatched up this gorgeous floral cotten sateen (one of the lisette fabrics though I didn't see it in this post). I've been ready for spring for about five months now. :) I used my seam roll for the first time in pressing this dress and put in my first lapped zipper (which went in great the first time!).

The only modification I made to the pattern is I added pockets (using the pocket pattern piece from the Colette Crepe pattern. side note- I sewed up a practice bodice of the Crepe and decided I want to modify the cap sleeve so it's more of a tiny sleeve (ie goes all the way around the arm scythe but have no idea how to do it. Any tips/hints would be appreciated!)

I'm already plotting a navy linen version, a polka dot version, and maybe a color blocked version.

And a few pictures with my princess, b/c I look less awkward and she's super adorable.

ps---I think you should do a polka dot one like you said. It would be AWESOME!
