Hi! I'm delighted to be part of the Suit Up for Summer Tour with Raspberry Creek Fabrics. There has been so much fun swimwear this week and so many fun patterns and fabrics!

fabrics- floral, navy with white polka dots, pink with white polka dots, yellow, lining
(Thank you to Jalie for gifting me the pattern and Raspberry Creek Fabrics for gifting me the floral, navy, and lining!)
THE LONGER VERSION IF YOU HAVE EXTRA QUARANTINE TIME
(I simultaneously have more and less time than before!)
I picked the Jalie Diane Swimsuit with Add On for Ansley and Lisbon. I gave them some minimal direction (ie the bottoms of the front and back had to match) and let them pick their own designs. The floral ended up being a happy little mistake when I accidentally cut Ansley's facing the opposite direction I had intended. I sewed a size Q for Ansley and a size K for Lisbon. I actually made a practice one for Ansley out of fabric from The Stash and she liked it but thought it was too low to wear with her (gigantic) sports bra (that is pretty much a crop top haha). Anyway, I used the elastic measurement for the size P for the top of her suit and think it's just right. I was hoping Lisbon's would be bigger on her (I always size up so they can get more wear unless I'm pattern testing) but it is also very possible that she grew between the time I printed the pattern and sewed it up.
This was my first time sewing with the swim lining from Raspberry Creek Fabrics and we were all delighted with how soft it is. It has a warm hand compared to lining from a big box store and was easy to sew. The Jalie Diane called for each individual piece (there are about six) to be lined so it was a lot of cutting and basting but I think it was totally worth it!
(and let's maybe not talk about how grown up Ansley looks in these pics. I should've taken modelling lessons from her!)
I chose to sew the Reversible Evie One Piece swimsuit by Caramiya. This was my third and a half time sewing it (I made a practice one to check my sizing and adjustments) and I love how it all comes together. There are so many options and I picked the low back, medium front, narrow straps, shortened straps, with bra with cups, size L top graded to size M hips, small butt adjustment, and the lowest leg options (I think). It is exceptionally comfortable! I opted to sew elastic in the legs (like all of my other ones) but this time I chose to topstitch (with a zigzag) so the white lining doesn't peek out. I'm never going to wear this on the reverse because I love the floral so much!!!
Thanks for stopping by!
